LED PCB is the core of LED lighting. The chip establishes electrical connection between LED and PCB and is equipped with heat sink to dissipate heat.

 

Metal core PCB, especially aluminum PCB, is favored by LED PCB manufacturers because of its good heat dissipation performance.

 

Usually, aluminum LED PCB has a thin layer of thermally conductive dielectric material, which has higher heat dissipation efficiency than traditional PCB.

Custom Led Pcb Parameter Settings

When designing an LED PCB, there are several factors to consider, including the driver type, power supply, board size, and spacing between adjacent wires. There are two types of drivers: constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV). Your choice depends on the type of LED you are using. The datasheet will indicate the correct settings. Once you know the correct driver type, you can start designing your LED lamp.

If you are considering designing an LED-powered product, it may be helpful to understand the components that make up a common PCB. These components include LEDs, circuits, and various other components. These components are usually in the shape of tiny "chips" or cylinders. As with any other circuit board, they should be placed on the board so as not to block the soldering surface. It will be behind the through-hole plated components.

 

PCBs with LEDs are usually made of multi-layer FR-4 substrates. Because LEDs generate a lot of heat, it is critical to design the board to accommodate this heat. In addition, LED PCB boards should allow for adequate space between metal, pads, and traces. Proper component tolerances can also reduce board errors. LED Board Wiring

LED board wiring is relatively simple, but you should pay attention to the leg length of each component in the LED PCB design. Typically, the cathode lead is the shortest and is connected to the same socket as the anode. The same is true for the resistor, which should be connected to the same socket as its anode. The same is true for the other wire, which should be red or black.

Before you start wiring the LED board, plan out the LED PCB wiring layout and confirm its correctness.

Make sure that all LED components present in the LED PCB design are properly grounded on the board.

Use the appropriate wire gauge for each section of the LED PCB, depending on the current load.

Clamp any wires that cross other conductive paths to prevent interference or contact with any other components.

Shrink any exposed wire joints by applying heat as an additional measure to prevent interference or short circuits.

Always use an approved power supply when connecting external supply voltage to the LED PCB board in the LED PCB board design.
